Tank (Hollister), Skirt (thrift piece), Boots (ASOS)
Today’s post features a thrift find – my suede midi skirt! I scored this skirt at a thrift store for $3.50 and was immediately thought of different ways to pair this versatile piece. In this outfit, I accented this skirt by pairing it with black neutrals – a black tank top and black booties. My alternative for shoes were my black vans for a more street look. As always, thanks for visiting! Have a great week!
Tee (gift – thanks Michelle!), Trench (gift – thanks Amanda!), Jeans – H&M, Boots – ASOS
Today is the first day of fall so I thought it would be appropriate to feature a fall outfit :-). The struggle to take these photos were real as I kept slipping on the rocks – they’re higher than they look! For this outfit, I wanted to layer for SF’s ever-changing weather; I donned a simple striped tee, blue jeans, and added a pop of black color (lol) with my black booties and a trench coat. As always, this was shot in Golden Gate Park outside the De Young Museum – after 4 years of Flying Neon Lights, Amanda and I are realizing that this place offers limitless spaces to photograph. Stay tuned for more posts in our favorite area! Anyway, wishing you a fantastic weekend. Happy Friday!
Halter (Free People), Romper (ASOS), Choker (Forever 21), Hat (gift – thanks Ashley!)
With summer coming to a close, I wanted to feature an actual summer outfit (haha). Fortunately, sunny San Diego permitted me to wear a romper, and I decided to accessorize with choker and hat! I also decided to add a pop of color with my halter top. I finished this outfit with black boots, however you can also switch it up by wearing sandals (which I should’ve, it was so hot!). Any way, have a fantastic week!
ASOS boots, watch, bag, H&M jeans, top (San Diego boutique), Betsey Johnson bracelet
Ah, it’s been a while since I uploaded an outfit post. When I’m not on blogging mode, I practically live in a loose plain tee and ripped jeans on a daily basis. Sometimes, however, I like to update my look by incorporating details that elevate my outfit. Cue in this fun off-the-shoulder top which includes lace detailing as well as a Tapa-inspired print. I added a pop of red (lips) for color and streamlined the look with classic black boots and a pleather tote bag. Thanks for visiting and hope you are all having a great week! -Amanda

I hope you all are having a lovely week! This week’s outfit features a juxtaposition between femininity and masculinity. I paired a floral off the shoulder top with my black distressed boyfriend jeans. To feature my off the shoulder top, I wore my chelsea boots and black floppy hat and a dark purple lip to add a more neutral look. This was a perfect day to head to San Diego’s Little Italy district to visit their farmers market, highly recommend you check it out 🙂 Thank you for visiting, have a great week!
Green jacket (Rizky’s), black hoodie (American Apparel), v neck (thrifted), jeans (Levi’s), boots (ASOS)
This last installment on my LA series features my trip to The Broad! Easily one of my favorite museums, The Broad features contemporary art pieces like this digital piece called “Hustle’n’Punch” by Takashi Murakami. I wore a very comfortable and warm outfit, as we waited a cool 90 minutes to enter this popular museum. I decided to pair a soft v neck tee with a black hoodie and an oversized thick green jacket. I stayed warm and neutral by wearing navy blue jeans and black chelsea boots, and also accessorized with my choker again. I highly recommend those in LA to check out The Broad, definitely a spot you won’t regret! I hope you all enjoyed this series, have a great week!
Boots (ASOS), Denim jacket (American Eagle), Jeans (Levi’s)
My second day in LA features a combo I was previously hesitant to wear; I feel that denim on denim can be tricky because it is either a hit or miss. I tried to not look like a uniform denim blob by contrasting my light oversized denim jacket with some dark navy jeans. I finished this industrial look by wearing my chelsea boots and a dark lip. I believe that denim jackets are such a staple clothing piece, they are compatible with virtually every outfit! Hope ya’ll have a good week!
Bomber, tee, boots (ASOS); jeans (Levi’s); choker (Forever 21)
This is first in a three part post series on my trip to LA to visit Amanda! This week’s post features my bomb embroidered bomber (lol), a deal I couldn’t pass up while I was online shopping at ASOS! I was drawn to the intricate peacock embroidery on the back and its vibrant colors. I wanted to complement this bold piece by wearing neutral components – black jeans, chelsea boots and a grey tee. I decided to accessorize by wearing a simple black and gold choker. To add another pop of color, I added a red lip. This was shot at The Getty Center in LA when I was visiting Amanda, I highly recommend this museum as their art pieces and views are incredible. Let me know if you all would like a Getty Center blog post! 🙂
P.S. We’ll be alternating between my LA posts and Amanda’s Maui ones. Keep patient, they are coming!
Trench (Forever 21), flannel and scarf (H&M), jeans (Levi’s), boots (ASOS)
This week’s outfit was shot at Fort Point in San Francisco, an old military base during the Civil War era. To me and Amanda, Fort Point is also notorious for being incredibly cold and windy (well, to us San Franciscans it feels chilly). I tried to prepare for the inevitable by layering my thick trench coat over my flannel and topped it off with a heavy scarf. I covered my entire lower body by wearing jeans, fuzzy socks (not shown), and my go-to boots. Little did I know, I should’ve added another 3 layers because the wind and cold tore right through my outfit. Ugh, I’ll keep that in mind next time. Thanks for visiting ya’ll! 🙂
Denim jacket (Rizky – American Eagle), scarf (gift), jeans (Levi’s), boots (ASOS), knapsack (Claires)
Weather in San Francisco has always been pretty strange; hence this post’s title. This fall foliage happened well into the winter season, but it is never too late to take fall photos! Amanda and I shot this post at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco; the fall colors were gorgeous and perfect for my warm layered outfit. I layered my hefty denim jacket over my grey hoodie and added a printed scarf to keep me warm. I balanced these colors with black jeans and black chelsea boots, and threw on a brown knapsack to hold my valuables. For those of you that have been following us, you probably know that this is not the first time we shot in Japanese Tea Garden. However, it is the first time we saw so much beautiful fall foliage there. Pictures don’t do it justice, but we tried!
Have a wonderful week,
